Yes, this is the time of the year couples and families really get to spend some few days of holidays together. It's probably an appropriate time to recreate romance and catch up on all the beautiful moments that you guys lost in the course of the year to the crazy hustling and bustling lifestyle Nigerians generally live. And it can be a lot crazier if you happen to live in Lagos. During Xmas, traditionally, people get their loved ones gifts and they get gifts in exchange as well. Some spend heavily on family while young couples who are yet to start raising families focus on themselves. And it is also a period some few relationships can get frosty because of dashed hopes and expectations. But whatever it is, here are a few tips on how to love and support your man this Xmas!
*It's been a pretty difficult year for most people. Nigerians will readily tell you they have not had it this rough before. So, what this means is that you do not overshoot your budget or pressure your man to overshoot his. Cut down on the expensive stuffs and work within a reasonable budget. Buying stuffs for the kids can also gulp quite a lot too. Do not go out of your budget to impress others. But most importantly, do not pressure your man. Accept whatever it is he says he can afford to give and he'll appreciate it.
*Give him some support as well. Many smart women, usually, save up for the Xmas expenses a few months leading to Xmas. Knowing they're not exactly married to a Dangote, they know their man might not exactly be able to fulfill all their Xmas needs so they save a little and support their man with whatever he brings to the table. If you help him pick up part of the bills for the renovation of the home, that's not a bad idea. And you can be sure he'll appreciate the little support you can bring.
*Create some space for romance. Try to find quiet moments where only you and your man can talk uninterrupted, let him know how much you appreciate his love and support for you and family through the past months. Let him understand that he means the world to you and that you're looking forward to another beautiful year ahead for both of you.
*Pray for him. Sit down together with your man and share a few spiritual moments together. The times are really perilous these days and we've all got to hold onto God more than ever before. Men are usually weaker spiritually than women, so they need spiritual guidance from the[r women. And this is where you come in. Pray constantly for your man. Any man who finds out that the woman he loves constantly prays for him will more than likely treat such woman with some care.
*Cook him the best meals you ever prepared for him. While he's spending a few days home for the holidays, give him a special treat for the next few days with great home cooked meals. Spoil him with love and attention and make him feel really special. Make this his best Xmas ever.
