PENGASSAN TO SHUT DOWN ACTIVITY IN THE OIL & GAS SECTOR IF FGN SELLS NNLG, REFINERIES, JV SHARES ETC

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has threatened to Shutdown the Oil and Gas Industry if the Federal Government goes ahead with the proposal of the National Economic Council to Sell some Critical National Assets.

PENGASSAN's Public Relations officer, Mr Emmanuel Ojugbana, said it was wrong move and against National Interest.

"We will not watch our National Assets Sold, especially those in the Oil and Gas Industry such NNLG that has become a huge revenue earner for Nigeria, Refineries and Shares in the Upstream Oil and Gas Joint Venture Operations."

"Any attempt to sell theses Assets will be Resisted as PENGASSAN will ensure that activity in the Oil and Gas Sector is brought to a halt" he said.
